For several months, I’ve been preparing for one of the biggest adventures of my life: trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. What started back in October as an idea has become a daily commitment, with consistent training since November. This journey isn’t just about reaching the base of the tallest mountain in the world. It’s about the discipline, intention, and consistency required long before setting foot on the trail.
Now, the journey is here.
I’m sharing this in real time, documenting each day from April 15 through May 1 as I move through the Himalayas toward Everest Base Camp. This space is where I’ll capture the experience as it unfolds: the physical demands, the mindset shifts, the gear that proves essential, the recovery, and the small adjustments that come with something this challenging.
Training in Florida has come with its own set of limitations, which has made adaptability and patience just as important as endurance. That foundation is now being tested in a completely different environment.
Each day on the trail brings something new. The highs, the struggles, the quiet moments, and the perspective that only a place like Nepal can offer.
